"stayed true to my own desire, there is no regret at all"
Q: Veteran actress Yoon Ye Jung said "If I'm not sensitive, how can I do as an actress? How can I do the work of 'art'?" do you think the same?
MGY: yes, I think actor/actress has to equip the sensitive of righteous emotion, but I think, rather than sensitive, I am more on my sincere side.
Q: since when, you seems to play unique character like Female transvestite, Potter, Blind, there are easy ways, but any reason for you to take the adventure?
MGY: in fact, I am not sure what is easy way. I do not really think it is difficult to take unique character. I used to talk big "always accept challenge", but I guess that was just the essence of the question - the matter of my preference.

Q: is there any reason for deciding to act in 'Sado' with self confidence?
MGY: actually, bcos of senior Soo Kang Ho too. When I heard senior Soo Kang Ho got cased as YeongJo, replied"I want to do the project" once they asked me <laughter>
Korea Actors I love the most are senior Soo Kang Ho and senior Jeon Do Youn.
Oh, I really like Senior Soo Kang Ho's works 'Memories of Munder', 'the Show must go on', and 'Secret Sunshine' was good too.
Q: What you have talked with senior Soo Kang Ho recently?
MGY: I am the only one who excited and consulted to senior Soo Kaan Ho "acting like this, shall I?" while senior Soo Kang Ho said nothing just "heoheoheo" <laughter>, senior Soo Kang Ho just response "oh, wasn't it ?" and "heoheoheo" again when I said "this is the reason this work was great"
Q: Crown Princess Hong is a complex figure and its difficult to interpret, was it hard to act?
MGY: the core of 'Sado' is the relationship between YeongJo and Crown Prince Sado. There is not so many scenes or emotions can be greatly analyzed on the role of Crown Princess Hong. Yet, this role, as their relationship subtext, tried to stick to the role that illuminate the relationship of YeongJo and Crown Prince Sado.
Q: do you satisfy with your acting?
MGY: I guess I will never satisfy with acting.
Girl who should become grown-up sooner the better
Q: Is there anything you want to say to your friends?
MGY: Let's get to keep it that way, let's walk together even though other or something happened. (it's) Life. <laughter>
Q: In view of interviews with actors, should I said the inner "blade" is so sensitive? so it is hard to get close to actor.
MGY: it's hard for me to become familiar with all of the actor. <Laughter> almost just ordinary friends
Q: strangely, even long talks with actors, but still hard to understand the inner side
MGY: I think the actors feel the same to each other. Unless the "film (barrier)" can be removed, or it is difficult to become friend, to me, "getting closer" means to share each other's feeling deeply with open heart.
Q: do you have any actor friend like that?
MGY: in that context, closer actor friends are Chun Woo Hee, Kim A-joong eonni. A-joong eonni was rapidly getting closer and went to Jeju island together recently. Woo Hee became familiar very long time ago, we share anguish.
Time of wandering - "it was all over now"
Q: what do you want to choose if you can only pick one from Stage Play, Movie and Drama?
MGY: Why I feel like to say Stage Play? <laughter> I think most of the actor feel alive when they act in a Play. Only the audience who come to see the Play can tell actor's acting is good or not.
Q: what do you think is the greatest charm of Stage Play?
MGY: the acting I have played of yesterday's Moon Geun Young is not the same as today's Moon Geun Young. At first, I thought the Play was not fun. I worried every time how to shed tear at the same plot. but each time is fresh and original. Apparently, yesterday I shed tears but weeping bitterly for today. The condition of that moment, interpersonal collaboration, and the atmosphere of audiences, while these elements are swayed, the acting varies each time.
Q: you keeps talking about acting, Miss Geun Young really seems to want to be an actress.
MGY: Rather than wanting to be an actress, I want to act in a play. Acting for me is always fun and want to be doing.
I want to embrace the aging naturally
Q: for an actress, "aged" is a sharp issue, Ms. Geun Young, what do you think?
MGY: That will be great if there is no reluctance and no worry about "grow old", senior Lee Mi Seo, senior Kim Hee Ae all the mature age, still as beautiful as ever,.....
each age goes separate way of beauty, and its age telling the time and stories, I want to grow old naturally.
Q: now as a 17 years big senior actress, perhaps, is there any fellow or junior you have pay attention to?
MGY: I am casting covetous eye on Chun Wee Hee. I feel audience think actress Chun Wee Hee is "inexhaustible". I envy her on this point. I think to myself the "inexhaustible" too, but audience do not seem to think that way.
Q: what kind of actress do you want to be in the future?
MGY: "what kind of actress do you want to be" now it seems no means a lot to me anymore. In fact, actress's appraisal is according to her work of art, and public viewpoint, there is a large numbers of change, and different interpretation.
Q: so what kind of life do you want to live?
MGY: holding the idea of "actress is actress", I want to act in a play.
I want to be an actress rather than a star. spilling out the truth, it is just a stage for actress, all I want to do is acting.
